The Model T Ford, also know as "Tin Lizzie" was the first mass produced car which found world wide favour. By 1919 half of the cars in the world were Model T Fords.
The Model T had two forward gears. You would hold the left pedal down for first gear, let it off for second gear, and hold down the middle pedal for reverse. The accelerator was worked by a hand throttle. From 1926 Model Ts were produced in colours other than black and were given the name "New Beauty"
